The road out of Ryde

Ryde transfers take one of two harbour approaches. From Gladesville, Ryde and the southern suburbs we use Victoria Road, the ANZAC Bridge and WestConnex to reach the airport. From North Ryde, Macquarie Park, Marsfield and the northern side, the shorter route is the Lane Cove Tunnel and the Eastern Distributor. Distances are modest at roughly 15 to 21 km, but both approaches cross the harbour corridor, which is the busiest part of the network in a weekday peak.

What a Ryde shuttle bus costs, suburb by suburb

Across Ryde the fixed one-way fare to Sydney Airport runs from $69 to $259, and the spread reflects distance rather than demand. A sedan carrying one to four passengers is priced between $69 and $229 depending on the suburb, a minivan for five or six between $89 and $239, and a bus for seven to eleven between $99 and $259. Those figures include tolls, fuel and airport fees. The only additions are a 1.8% surcharge if you choose to pay by card, and $10 on top of the equivalent airport fare if you are travelling to a cruise terminal instead. A group of seven to eleven travels together in one shuttle bus rather than being split across two cars. You pay the driver at the end of the trip, so nothing is charged when you book.

What makes Ryde different to drive

Macquarie Park is the reason a lot of these bookings exist. It is one of Sydney's largest office and research precincts, with the university and hospital alongside it, and it generates consistent business travel that needs to be reliable rather than cheap. Our corporate shuttle covers the account-billed side, and the arrival leg is handled with flight monitoring so a traveller landing late is still met at the terminal.

The district is otherwise a mix of established suburbs and dense apartment development. Ryde, Eastwood, Denistone and Gladesville have conventional street pickups, while the Macquarie Park and Meadowbank corridors are apartment-heavy addresses where the building entrance matters more than the street name. The two-route split is worth understanding because it affects timing rather than price. A Gladesville pickup and a Marsfield pickup take different roads to the same terminal, and each suburb's published fare and drive time reflect its own route rather than a district average.

Western Sydney International from Ryde

Western Sydney International at Badgerys Creek opens to passengers on 25 October 2026 and we will run transfers from the first day. From Ryde the drive to WSI is roughly 43–45 km, about 48–50 minutes, against 15–21 km to Kingsford Smith. WSI fares are quoted individually because the distances are so different from the Kingsford Smith run.

Cruise terminals

Cruise passengers are covered on the same basis. From Ryde the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay is about 13–19 km and White Bay is about 12–18 km. A cruise transfer is priced at $10 above the equivalent airport fare for your suburb and vehicle, and we time the pickup to your boarding window rather than a flight.

How a booking works

Booking works the same way everywhere in the region. Tell us the pickup address, the date and your flight number. We confirm a fixed price and an exact pickup time, worked back from the flight so you reach the terminal roughly two hours before an international departure and 75 to 90 minutes before a domestic one.
