The road out of Penrith

Penrith transfers are an M4 run. From Penrith, St Marys, Kingswood, Werrington, Cranebrook and Glenmore Park we join the M4 Motorway and stay on it through to WestConnex and the airport. Suburbs on the southern side pick up The Northern Road first before joining the M4. The M4 is fast once you are past the Prospect area, but the eastbound approach carries very heavy weekday commuter traffic, so morning pickups are set earlier than the raw drive time would suggest.

What a Penrith shuttle bus costs, suburb by suburb

Across Penrith the fixed one-way fare to Sydney Airport runs from $139 to $239, and the spread reflects distance rather than demand. A sedan carrying one to four passengers is priced between $139 and $209 depending on the suburb, a minivan for five or six between $159 and $219, and a bus for seven to eleven between $169 and $239. Those figures include tolls, fuel and airport fees. The only additions are a 1.8% surcharge if you choose to pay by card, and $10 on top of the equivalent airport fare if you are travelling to a cruise terminal instead. A group of seven to eleven travels together in one shuttle bus rather than being split across two cars. You pay the driver at the end of the trip, so nothing is charged when you book.

What makes Penrith different to drive

Penrith is the closest established centre to Western Sydney International. The airport at Badgerys Creek sits only a short run south of the district, and from parts of Penrith it is a fraction of the distance to Kingsford Smith. When WSI opens to passengers on 25 October 2026, Penrith travellers will have the shortest airport run of any of our regions, and we will be operating those transfers from the first day of passenger flights.

In the meantime, Kingsford Smith is a long way from here. Penrith to Sydney Airport is a genuine cross-city drive, and the difference between doing it at 4am and doing it at 7.30am is significant. That gap is the single biggest reason people book a fixed fare rather than an app fare from Penrith: the price does not move when demand does, and the driver is committed to your time, not bidding on it.

The district also splits between dense established suburbs and semi-rural pockets. St Marys, Kingswood and Penrith proper are straightforward door pickups, while Castlereagh, Mulgoa, Wallacia and Llandilo are large-lot addresses where rideshare supply thins out badly at night. We price and confirm those in advance so the vehicle is allocated to the address, not to whoever happens to be nearby.

Western Sydney International from Penrith

Western Sydney International at Badgerys Creek opens to passengers on 25 October 2026 and we will run transfers from the first day. From Penrith the drive to WSI is roughly 5–20 km, about 8–23 minutes, against 48–66 km to Kingsford Smith. WSI fares are quoted individually because the distances are so different from the Kingsford Smith run.

Cruise terminals

Cruise passengers are covered on the same basis. From Penrith the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay is about 50–68 km and White Bay is about 45–63 km. A cruise transfer is priced at $10 above the equivalent airport fare for your suburb and vehicle, and we time the pickup to your boarding window rather than a flight.

How a booking works

Booking works the same way everywhere in the region. Tell us the pickup address, the date and your flight number. We confirm a fixed price and an exact pickup time, worked back from the flight so you reach the terminal roughly two hours before an international departure and 75 to 90 minutes before a domestic one. On the day the driver arrives at your door, handles the luggage and drives straight through with no shared stops. On the return leg we monitor the inbound flight in real time, adjust automatically if you are delayed and meet you at the terminal pick-up point. Child seats, capsules and boosters are available on request, and reasonable flight delays are not charged.
