The road out of the Inner West

Inner West transfers use Parramatta Road and the WestConnex M4-M8 tunnels, which carry you underneath the congested surface streets and surface close to the airport. It is the shortest run of any region we cover, generally between about 9 and 16 km with drive times from roughly 19 minutes. The tunnels have made this trip far more predictable than it used to be, although the Parramatta Road approach can still be slow in the morning peak.

What a Inner West shuttle bus costs, suburb by suburb

Across the Inner West the fixed one-way fare to Sydney Airport runs from $59 to $129, and the spread reflects distance rather than demand. A sedan carrying one to four passengers is priced between $59 and $99 depending on the suburb, a minivan for five or six between $79 and $109, and a bus for seven to eleven between $89 and $129. Those figures include tolls, fuel and airport fees. The only additions are a 1.8% surcharge if you choose to pay by card, and $10 on top of the equivalent airport fare if you are travelling to a cruise terminal instead. A group of seven to eleven travels together in one shuttle bus rather than being split across two cars. You pay the driver at the end of the trip, so nothing is charged when you book.

What makes the Inner West different to drive

The Inner West is close enough to the airport that the trip itself is trivial and the logistics are the real problem. These are narrow streets with resident parking, terrace houses with no driveway, and apartment blocks where there is nowhere legal to stop for five minutes with four suitcases. A driver who knows the pickup point in advance is worth more here than a marginally faster route.

White Bay is unusually close to this district, at roughly 6 to 13 km, and the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay is a similarly short run. That makes the Inner West one of the easiest areas for cruise embarkation, priced at ten dollars above the equivalent airport fare with the same fixed-price arrangement.

Short trips are also the ones most exposed to surge. A fifteen-minute run at 5am is the least profitable job on a demand-priced platform, so it is the one most likely to be declined or heavily loaded. A pre-booked fixed fare removes both risks: the car is committed to you and the price is set before the morning.

Western Sydney International from the Inner West

Western Sydney International at Badgerys Creek opens to passengers on 25 October 2026 and we will run transfers from the first day. From the Inner West the drive to WSI is roughly 40 km, about 45 minutes, against 9–16 km to Kingsford Smith. WSI fares are quoted individually because the distances are so different from the Kingsford Smith run.

Cruise terminals

Cruise passengers are covered on the same basis. From the Inner West the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay is about 8–15 km and White Bay is about 6–13 km. A cruise transfer is priced at $10 above the equivalent airport fare for your suburb and vehicle, and we time the pickup to your boarding window rather than a flight.

How a booking works

Booking works the same way everywhere in the region. Tell us the pickup address, the date and your flight number. We confirm a fixed price and an exact pickup time, worked back from the flight so you reach the terminal roughly two hours before an international departure and 75 to 90 minutes before a domestic one. On the day the driver arrives at your door, handles the luggage and drives straight through with no shared stops. On the return leg we monitor the inbound flight in real time, adjust automatically if you are delayed and meet you at the terminal pick-up point. Child seats, capsules and boosters are available on request, and reasonable flight delays are not charged.
